I must urge you to watch "The Undercover Princes" on iPlayer. I think "Prince Manvendra has discovered a wonderland of wall-to-wall totty" may well be my favourite quote of all time.

| It can beez teh procrastination tiemz nao? |
[Apr. 25th, 2008|01:15 pm] |
I don't know if LJ get a bit delete-happy with lurkers, so I thought I'd better post something as it has now been sixty-odd weeks since the last entry. Essentially the only thing that has happened in this large expanse of time is the improvement of my already mega-ace mad fangirling skillzzzzz, as most of Lundun's comedy scene will testify having been on the receiving end of it since October. Tonight I am going to see Teh Lundun Premiere of 'Aeneas Faversham Forever' by my beloved and bestalked Penny Dreadfuls, which promises to be super-awesome. I would say I'd repaaaart back, but it would be a filthy lie.
I saw a Jew on a swing yesterday, ginger hair blowing gently in the breeze. And one on a roundabout. And one on a slide. I didn't realise that antisemites had constructed Jew-only playgrounds in the middle of Regent's Park, but it would appear so. I do hope the childrenz didn't see Jasmine and I hiding behind a hedge and laughing, because I suspect that would be classed as odd behaviour.
Speak to you all in another eighteen months my dears.
Love or what you will...

ACHIEVEMENTS OF THIS HOLIDAY: Absolutely, positively, 100% zero.

Happy New Year, and may it be as unproductive and useless as the last one! *raises glass of orange juice*d in
But I missed The Wind in the Willows. And I'm MAD! Grrrrrrrr. |

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hope you all have/had a good day and haven't done what I've done, i.e. eat so much chocolate fondue that if you move you'll (literally) be sick. Bleurgh...

Mum is asleep, so if I type very quietly, I'm OK for the time being!
Softly does it...softly, softly...
Anyway, in other news:
My poor baby Dilly has a swollen throat. I brought him in and his cheeks and throat are all puffy. *sob* It doesn't seem to hurt him and I've given him anti-inflammatories and about an hour of sympathy, but if it hasn't gone down by the morning I shan't be coming in. Just so's you know!

| How lazy is too lazy? |
[Nov. 3rd, 2006|10:05 pm] |
November Resolution: Update more frequently than once a month.
How is it possible that only 2 days back at school and I feel like I've been put through a mangle? Without the inevitable broken bones, obviously. Oh, that's it. I spent all of yesterday evening revising the WHOLE of this year's chemistry syllabus, only to find that the test was on the last page and a half. Pissed off? Oh yes...
Still, this won't happen again. Now I have my procrastinator notebook I will never have to resort to doing work again! Hehe, I love it. It's such a pointless waste of time and money and it really couldn't be better.
I think the problem with the updating thing is threefold: a) I can't if Mum is in the room, because she starts pestering and asking what I'm doing. Not that there is anything wrong with LJ, but I always have a forum open at the same time and I really don't think she'd approve. She still believes that all the people who use them are psycho paedophile child killers who will steal me away in the middle of the night and sell me into slavery of something, so it's a bit of a non-starter.
b) Nothing ever actually happens, and
c) If something does happen and Mum is out, I'm too lazy to get the laptop out and go through the traumas of dialup.
Laziness! How I love it. For example, at the moment I am nearly cooking because I can't be bothered to get up and turn the fire off. It is a good job I don't have Dave's syndrome, put it that way. If I die of heat exhaustion please feel free to plunder my DVD collection. I leave all my signed League things to Annie, My 'Sooty wants a Pet' video to Demus and Dylan in joint custody of Demus and Rosie. Have a drink for me, I love you all!
Oooo, QI is on! Must dash. Toodles!
And now, the time-honoured sign-off especially for Annie...
Love or what you will,

| Charlie Chalk is GOD. |
[Sep. 22nd, 2006|10:32 pm] |
I've just come back from an evening spent with the rather wonderful Demus. We watched an obscene amount of kids' TV, including Charlie Chalk (absolute genius...who couldn't love a show from the eighties that has, amongst others, the lines, 'Trader Jones: If you want it, he's got it!' and, 'COCONUT HO!'? We giggled like idiots.), Sooty (with Sweep, Swipe, Swoop and Swop.), Trapdoor (BUG PIPE!) and Thomas the Tank Engine *hisses at Diesel*. We topped it off with the slashy goodness of Starsky and Hutch. *squee*.
And we talked. Those who know me will know that although I can be pretty hard to shut up on occasions and very quiet on others, I generally prefer to rely on sarcasm and try to avoid being serious if at all possible. So it was a strange thing that I found myself being totally honest. I think therapeutic is the right word. I hadn't even consciously considered half the stuff that was discussed, but there was a sense of well-being at the end of it. I can't remember the last time I talked like that. I'm not sure I ever have. So huge squishies to Demus for just being ace.
And I got fed profiteroles.
Happy, happy m_ngal.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand.....
Fingers crossed for the Hamster. I still can't quite believe it. *worries* |

| I think I need to get another hobby... |
[Sep. 17th, 2006|02:01 pm] |
| [ | Current Mood |
| | listless | ] | There is loads of stuff I should be doing, like writing a personal statement, filling in a UCAS form, doing that massive pile of homework in the corner, learning dressage tests, practising hazard perception/theory questions, emailing french exchange person etc etc. Stuff that has to be done, some of it quite urgently. And I'm writing this entry in clear attempt to avoid doing any of it. Ho-hum. I blame the fact that I got Spaced series 1 and 2 on friday for a tenner. They just sit on the cupboard containing all the other nice DVDs, calling me. Perhaps it is a good thing that Annie has my League boxset for a while, because when it is at home I just can't resist it. The hours of Reece goodness is just too tempting. As Annie found out, hehe. Let's just say...EPISODE FOUR!
On the bright side: Dylan is going like a superstar at the moment, so fingers crossed for the dressage championships. On the dark side: he has managed to lose three of his shoes in the last month and the farrier won't answer his phone. Stupid farrier.
Moan complain grumble whinge whinge.
I'm bored, can you tell? |
